This is what most of us would have faced at the very needed times
, how irritating that should be when you don’t even know who is trying to reach you..
How many can say, even with the good reception network, this will never happen! yeah that we cant predict as the signal reception may vary from one place to another.
I have used mostly all kinds of networks and have gone through all the pros and cons of it.
It all started during my 2nd year college days, when the usage of cellphones were raising to its peak, more with the ‘Reliance new 500 Scheme’ (he he
). That’s when I got a cute Nokia set (not sure of which model ) and I got a BSNL Post paid, as that was quite familiar those days. We did not find any signal issues other than during the evenings and night times, but it was too costly to maintain it at that time.
Then all our group of friends got a Hutch Group card which was very very economic those days. Mostly we all would be on a conference calls pulling each others legs. The Hutch used to be a pretty bad network those days that even I remember keeping my cell in a cornered place at my book shelf. That’s the only place, where the signal is good and we have to adjust our head into the book shelf space to speak
but otuside my home it was having a good reception of signals.
Then we all changed to ‘Airtel Group card (again!)’ and this I should say was very very responsive to the signals at any area we were. so we all had some memorable galla time using them.
Then I changed to ‘Aircel Pre Paid’ because I could bear the cost of the Airtel group card as it was quite an expensive for us those days. Aircel was pretty decent those days when compared to Hutch. Then till date I use Aircel but again the reception are varying from each locations, that too mow a days, the usage of cells are so widely spread, that we hardly find a constant reception range. Now am in one of the tallest building in Chennai (spending most of my life) and that too at the top floor, where the Aircel doesn’t find its reception range. sadly, I have to keep in cell in an angle, where when the phone rings, then I have to bend down in another angle in order to have good signal ranges. I don’t find it a problem at any where outside my floor. so I have to constantly keep mocking at cell to see if I have the signal range. Wonder how do I do that? just dial the ‘Balance Info’ Number and you will know how good or bad is your signal
Sad still quite an active way to be alert
The distressing part is that at this current decade, with all the Information technologies flying up like a boomerang, I still face this problem. If you wanted to know whether I complained to the Network company, yes I did it quite a number to times but all in vain! Nevertheless, am hoping that people will understand what is the reason behind my number is never reachable all during the weekdays most of the time! If its others, then i too have no answers for it!
Happy Talking
(of course in good reception are!)
